Airline Strike
Unfortunately Lufthansa has an ongoing strike. We were advised first a couple of days prior to departure that we had been re-booked to depart on the 16th instead of the 15th. Then just the evening before we were suppose to depart that they had cancelled those flights as well. And there was no possible way to get to Europe in time for our cruise. Of course we're extremely disappointed, we were so looking forward to this trip! But there was nothing we could do except cancel the trip, claim on insurance, and hope to do the trip at a future time. So a very good example of why you need to take out insurance! Although Lufthansa refunded our airline tickets we'll still need to claim for the cruise, hotels and transfers.
